In about a week I'm about to find out if I get in. The nursing committee meets this week and letters are sent out this week too. I'm soo nervous!! This is the second semester I've applied and waited. My chances are much better this semester but still..it's the thought of not knowing again. It only gets harder as days go by! I know it will be worth the wait tho. I want to get excited about starting nursing but then I have to stop myself because there's still a chance I won't get in. Does anyone have tips on what to do to calm the nerves?? I'm sure i'm only one of the many that had to go thru the same process to get in. :rolleyes:

The only advice I can give is to prepare for the best and prepare for the worst. It's so nervewracking waiting to have a letter come that determines your future. Believe me, I know. Until the letter arrives, and in order to calm your nerves, try doing things to completely take your mind off of it. Read a good book, excercise, pray...whatever helps you to feel better.

I'm sure you'll get good news so just try and have positive thoughts. :)

I can totally relate to this. I came on this website right now because at our school they do a lottery run every Tuesday to place students. It started October 4th and I didn't get placed then. Every week I go through this and it's driving me CRAZY!!! I'm pretty sure I'll get placed today, they opened up 20 slots at my first school of choice and there's only around 20 or so people in the whole district ahead of me. We can apply at any of the CC's in one application, up to five. The website is down right now because they are doing the run...it was supposed to start at 11, it's now 12:41. UGHH, I hope I can get placed so I can end this madness of waiting....

Been there, done that...still doing it too! I still have over a month to find out. There is nothing you can do to calm your nerves. It's just not possible. Too bad :o

Make sure you post it here when you get your letter! We're all root'n for ya!
