We have these exams through out our program that we have to pass, we can get 100% in the class but if we fail one of the exms we are out of the program...it is all so they can get their NCLEX scores up....how about they just get teachers that actually teach and do not just read straight from their power points, that came with the teachers edition of the textbooks, and even say that "this is a self taugh course" I feel like saying, "Oh really, thats funny, I though I wrote a check to the college that goes towords your salary.":trout: Any one else feel this way?

maybe youre paying them for the opportunity to pass their program so that you are eligible to sit in on the NCLEX licensing exam.

if you don't like your program, the way to deal with it is to go to a program with instructors that teach to your standards. give them your money. it's the beauty of capitalism.

might be a wild goose chase though. i hear most nursing instructors are terrible at teaching. everywhere.

if transferring isn't an option, you might just have to deal with it and teach yourself. or do something other than nursing.

What disturbs me is that I often feel I am being prepared to pass the NCLEX, not to become a practicing nurse. While these goals might overlap, they aren't the same.

I have many teachers like that right now in my program. I look at it this way, they are my hook up.LOL If I keep quiet,do my work,do as I am told,pass their exams then they are my hook up to where I want to go. I need them to get to the NCLEX and without them it not possible. So thats how I look at it. Good luck!

i have 3 classes that are like that right now and my school does have attendance guidelines. i would be better off getting an extra hour of sleep and reading this stuff at home. i'm very frustrated and can't even talk to the program director because she just bites our head off......

any suggestions on how to deal with this.

we get all of these handouts that do not reflect what is on our tests and it completely states the opposite of our text books..... everybody in the class is not doing so well on the tests or in the class.
