Is this the same as the NET test?

Yes, this is another version of the NET test. It is also a Pre- entrance exam that test your skills in Math, Verbal/English and Science. (kind of the adult friendly version of the SAT test.

I fall the test yesterday, I didn't like the fact that it timed me. Do you know what can i do to boost my vebal score.

Help!! Did anyone take the pre NLN test and feel that they may not have done too well? I thought the Math was easy but I don't think I did well on the Verbal section. The Science section wasn't that bad but I did still have to guess for some of the questions. I took the test 9 days ago and I'm still waiting for my results. Did anyone else feel that they did not do too well but still scored in the 50+ percentile. Please let me know. Thanks!!

I took the test FOUR times and every time I thought I did horrible. I did get above 50% every time. First two I was in the lower 70's, 3rd time I got an 85% and then this last time I got a 92%. You more than likely did better than you think you did...at least that has been my experience. I have walked out of those tests almost crying...it's very stressful!

Shank, I had MAJOR issues with verbal - that is what brought my score down every time. The only thing I can suggest is learn what they have in the NLN Pre-Entrance Exam Study Guide (if this is the test you take). The information in this study guide is what you need to know, but really, with the verbal, all I could do to study was memorize the prefix/suffix/roots and that helped me a little...I think it just comes down to either you know it or you don't. Some of them were obvious, but others, if you didn't know it, you just don't know it. I also bought a vocabulary builder book...I didn't get to read much into it though...that takes a lot of time to do though. Do what you can with what they have in the Study guide!

One thing they did suggest as well is if two of the multiple choice words are similar, more than likely, neither of those are the answers.
