PHCC Fall 2010 (LPN/BRIDGE/RN)

Published

Hi all :)

I decided to start a new thread since the last one has something like 275 comments. It's a tad overwhelming!

Any questions, concerns, comments, etc regarding Pasco-Hernando Community College's programs? This is your thread:nurse:

We have decided on a meeting time and place. Here are the details:

When: Saturday evening, July 17, 7pm til whenever.

Where: Brass Tap in Wiregrass

Why: Faces to usernames :) lol--Seriously, won't it be great to meet the people who have been stressing out with us for the past several months?

If you have questions about the plan, feel free to pm me :) Also, if anyone has any brilliant ideas on how to recognize one another, feel free to share!

Jenn

RN-to-be...

How about someone get there early and see if we can get a table or area for 10-12??? That way when someone walks in, they just ask and know where to go. I live by Wiregrass, so it wouldn't be a prob for me. Just a thought.

I'm sure we'll be arriving nearly the same time. Jenn and I both live near Wiregrass, too.

Yay! New thread! I think its a great idea to meet with everyone on Saturday, and I hope I can make it out! Will try my darndest(word?) ; this site has really been amazing in keeping me sane during the initial waiting.....ordeal.

:) Excited to meet everyone's acquaintance!

Also I am having my blood work done next Thursday but I did clear with Nursing Department that as long as titers are back before 1st day of classes all is well. Proof that titers have been drawn will suffice for orientation deadline. Didn't know if anyone else waited too long like me?? Procrastination is not at all my style:( :)

I haven't done any titers or anything, yet. I'm bad :)

haha, that makes me feel better. :)

No worries. I just made my appointment to get my titers and what-not too. I think we're fine

awesome username :)

I meant that above reply to be a response to Isaiah4031 :)

FYI guys...Pasco health Dept. with clinic locations charges $33 for MMR titers and are back WITHIN 48 HOURS. Varicella titers are $22.78 and TB Skin Tests are $20. Physicals are $63 (WAYYYY to much) so go to any "Doctor's Walk-in" where they are $20. They only take cash and I'd recommend going in the mornings when they aren't busy. These prices may even be less than any deductible or copay if you have insurance.

Shouldn't titers be covered under insurance? I know the vaccines are so I'm assuming the titers are considering many jobs or even pregnancy call for these titers.
