Could someone tell me what this class is about?

Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.

What does the description of this class say in the college catalog?

Specializes in ER, Medicine.

Well community health is just like it says. It's about nursing in communities, within groups, and different aggregates of society. A lot of it focuses on stuff like levels of prevention, history, legal stuff, nursing for particular groups like elderly people, people in rural communities, people in urban communities, people in long term care vs people in the community, etc. It's really broad. One of the hardest classes I think I ever took.

Of course, that's not saying much all of nursing school has been hard.

But look at your course catalog to have a better idea of what community health nursing is at your school.
