Pathophysiology anyone?

Published

I am taking Patho this fall, and I am kinda nervous. I was just wondering if anyone has already taken the class, and how hard it was, good study tips, and anything else that would be helpful to me. Thank you!! :)

Make sure you study study study study! My mom took it in a four week course instead of it being spread out over a full semester b\c she's in an accelerated RN-BSN course. It's a tough class, but I know you guys can do it!

Brett,

Did your mom take it at Baptist? If so who did she have it with? My class starts Monday.

I know that I will have to study a lot for this class, but it looks like it will be my hardest this semester, so atleast I can put most of my effort into it!

That's exactly what I was thinking!!!

No, she's going to Union University- Germantown. It was an INTENSE class, if I do say so myself! I was ready for that one to be over, lol!!!!

Brett

Oops...I stand corrected. I asked mom and it was 8 weeks instead of four. Let's just say it was STILL intense. She studied everynight all night long once she got home from work.

im not sure how it works in the usa but we have patho throughout our course so i have done tonnes of it and there isnt any real tips on how to study it really except make sure u put the effort in and u will come out ok.

Ah, the wonderful world of patho. I took it a couple of years ago in my BSN program. It actually wasn't too bad because many of the disease processes we covered correlated to what we were studying in our Med-Surg class. This was really helpful. Patho can be difficult because you study all the processes down to the cellular level. With plenty of studying you'll do fine. Let us know how it goes.:)
