Does anyone happen to know what the starting pay is for a new grad RN and/or LPN in the NYC area? Also can someone name some hospitals they would recommend.

From what I hear, city hospitals can start about $55,000/year as a base salary, not including differentials. Private hospitals have a base of $58-60,000/year. This is what I've heard from friends who have graduated already and have/are actively interviewing.
