Nursing Students General Students

Hey people!

Just looking for some ideas...maybe you can help? I was thinking about doing something special for the hubbs before nursing starts up this fall........I cant think of anything interesting/fun/romantic/special etc.....................to do! I pretty much put the guy thru h-e-l-l- stressing out , studying, clinicals, exams, papers, care plans... you knowwhat I mean;) so I want to do something just as a reminder that I appreciate all that he does for me.... Any neat ideas?

thanks

s:D

oh, i have tons of them but none are appropriate to post on a bb such at this. ;)

:chuckle have fun with whatever you decide.

I am planning a nice little vacation! Probably to Niagara Falls:)

Lord knows it will be the last time we are alone together for 4 years!!

Have fun with whatever you do;) :D

I planned and surprised my hubby with the trip of his dreams, got him the time off work and everything. I handed it to him when I graduated with my BS in Computer Science. He cried. Now I'm going back to nursing school and I have no idea what I'll do. :)

how about mixing a massage oil (my fav is almond oil and with a little patchouli.. yumm) and giving him a nice massage, who knows where it might lead ... nudge nudge, elbow elbow ;)

Well I'm not officially a nursing student yet but I have been thinking about special things to do for my dh also. We have 4 children and he works a 2nd job on the weekends so we hardly get to see each other as it is. We did decide to have a date night at least 2 nights per month. Each time we have to do something different and special. One night he plans it...the other night I'll plan it. So I'm very excited about our special time together.....just have to make sure I don't get preggo.....lol

Definitely Vegas. Last year my boyfriend (of 3 months) & I went there. We don't drink, drug, or gamble, but we found plenty of other sinful stuff to do. In fact, we lost our heads and eloped.

Later we decided we deserved a honeymoon. After endless debates about Bermuda, Greece, Spanish Riviera, etc... we went back to Vegas.

Every hotel is a full service destination. 1st time we went cheap--Stayed at San Remo across from MGM. 2nd time we went to Mandalay Bay-- It has eucalyptus scented halls, a seafood buffet, and instead of a pool, it has a water park. Definately worth the extra $$.

Most of the best attractions are free--Treasure Island show, Bellagio fountain & lobby, the Fremont Street experience, etc.

Dance all night, tour the Strip, hit the strip clubs. Plenty to do & the people watching is to die for. I could go on & on.

You can get a package deal online, prices based on how posh you want your hotel to be. Have fun planning your surprise.

awww. come on.... just one? :D ;)

Okay, you wanted some ideas... how about trying the "Great American Sex Diet"? Look at their website of the same name. Basically, it's a 28 day plan to focus on the intimate area in your married life... but it's lots of fun! We tried it when I was on Winter break... now I'm thinking we need to do it again before I begin clinicals in Sept. There is a lot of suspense and anticipation involved as each partner tries to outdo the other. We really enjoyed it... but I can't say that we made it the whole 28 days. Didn't matter... the days we did do it was great!

Just my little idea for fun that isn't too expensive and you don't even need to leave home.

OH FATIMA!!! Don't joke about that! :chuckle

Silly me went an did that! As for surprising the dh, focus on either his favorite thing...a hobby or something or traveling and base your surprise on that. My ex-husband is into model railroading and once I surprised him with a trip to go visit museums and local model layouts in the SE. (Yeah, I was too good for him ;) ) I was nearly bored to tears but he was absolutely in his glory. The idea was that it was all about him. That's just an example for you to play with.

Good luck and if you come up with anything, let us all know.
