I was wondering if someone can explain to me the differences between a Littman Master Classic II and Classic II SE other than the price? What are the advantages of the Master over the SE? Is the Master worth the extra bucks? And will I look like a moron using such a pricey scope in nursing school?
Also, does anybody here use the Ultrascope? I'm thinking about trying their cheaper student version called the Maxiscope and was wondering if anybody had any comments regarding them as well.
Thanks!

this will give you a comparison of the two. i have a master classic and i really like it. no, you won't look silly. there were girls (i say girls because we are an all women's school) coming to first semester clinical with master cardiology stethoscopes! i think that's a little much!

I had an Ultrascope but felt I could not hear what others' using the Littmans were hearing. So, I changed to the Littman Master Select & WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I can hear so mauch better rhonchi, crackles, & rales.

The Littman Classic II SE was the one recommended for our program and sold in a package for new students. I am graduating this week, I've been happy with it.
