How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.

I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Care to share?

hi all my name is Elizabeth 1st yr LPN student Mother of two handsome boys-ages 4&3-25 years old married for 6 years. I just want to meet other nursing students.

Hi everyone,

I am a stressed out mom of a 4 year old in my first semester of an ADN program. Who knew nurse's had to know so much. Anyway, good luck everybody. :nurse:

Hi, I'm 42, done with all pre-reqs and co-reqs and am now taking my nursing exams, via a virtual college. If I could have afforded 1/2 pay while I went the traditional route of the 4 semesters of nursing I would have graduated Dec 2003, now I could be graduating (with full pay, since I'm able to work full time), Spring 2003 and take my NCLEX in June 2003!! That will be a true summer of love LOL

I know what you mean!! I have two sons (14 and 15) that keep me always on the go. My husband works long hours, so after working all day, I come home to their homework, dinner, dishes, laundry, clean up, chauferring the kids to where ever, It doesn't stop, but I have to squeeze studying in as well.

Don't give up! It will happen!! Good luck to all!!!
