My mother told me about an LPN program that's offered to residents of my county...it's a FREE program also....FREE. It's a one year program and books and uniforms are included. Although I'm awaiting news of my acceptance/denial from the 2 nursing programs at area CC's...I just wanted to have a backup plan. The only thing is that they are only accepting 50 applicants, we have to score in the 65th percentile or higher. I have to take my test in May and it's a 4 hr. test. Do you all know of any books that I can study from?

You might want to ask the school if they can send you study material to prepare for the test. Good luck on it :)

Try your local library. I use mine all the time for NCLEX books and books w/ practice questions and exams in them. I've seen them for LPN, RN, and others. Practice questions help enormously and point out areas which you may need to bone up on. Best of luck to you! :)

Fatima,
Do you mind me asking what county this LPN program is in? Thanks!
