I'm just curious....most of the nursing students in my courses are about my age....29 give or take a few years...lol....but I was told that the daytime students are a lot younger.

"RN to be in 2004"
I am 30, in a large LPN class....out of 65 that originally started, there were only about 4 out of high school. I think the "non-traditional" student (us old folks!) are quickly becoming the norm.
I personally feel that I am a much better student now than I was when I originally starting college at 18, even being a single mom with 2 young kids. Most of us older students are more dedicated.
Good luck to you!.
Jvilleredhead,
I totally agree......there are only 2 nursing students that are straight out of HS in my evening classes. The rest of the students are my age (29) give or take a few years. I agree about being dedicated. I have given so much time to my family, and don't get me wrong I'll continue to give...but I have to dedicated more to time to developing me.... \

Not quite sure how this works, but here goes anyway.
I am 27, will be 28 in a couple of months, working slowly on my LPN, to turn around and go back to school for my RN , to BSN to MSN. Since the last three steps are going to be part time studies instead of full time like i am now, figured out that i will be 42 years old when i have finally reached my goal :) but oh well it will all be worth it in the end........right?????
