Head to Toe Assessment

Hi all,

If anyone can provide me resources that helped them with learning the detailed version of head to toe assessments, I would greatly appreciate it. We have to specifically know the 12 Cranial Nerves and their location and what they control, along with where each pulse is found as we will have to identify these during our exam. The instructors are wanting very specific Head to Toe Assessments as our Final and I would like to know where I can find great videos/Simulations/ and so on.

the key to success is practice and memorization.

Just search Youtube. There's a bunch on there, and some ones focus on specific assessments, such as the cranial nerves. RegisteredNurseRN has a video where she does a head to toe, though it might not be exact to your specifics.

(But yeah, I do think actually DOING the exam is going to be helpful in remembering everything and getting it down. The videos can help you understand how do everything and why.)

One tip I learned for the cranial nerves was remembering which order the olfactory and optic went in...

"Remember Wiggly, you have one nose and two eyes!"

I second what everyone has said before me though - youtube and practice! Take it beyond memorization and you'll be ok.
