I'm having a hard time retaining all the info we have to learn for pharmacology. Any suggestions on how to really grasp the material? I made flashcards from all the information on my drug cards to try and study whenever possible, but I still feel like I'm just not getting it. I guess though, that's kind of how all of my classes make me feel!

The best thng top do is learn drug classes, rather than memorize all the drugs.

Learn the common endings of some drugs generic names, such as -olol for beta blockers and -pril for ace inhibitors.

The drugs in a certain class all have similiar side effects and mechanisms of action, though some vary a bit.

Learn that way and you'll do much better.
