DVT question
In my experience, the pain is often in the general area surrounding the clot. The area may also be red, swollen, or warm to the touch. The only definitive way to diagnosis a DVT is by a Venous Doppler of the extremity to determine if/where there is blockage present.

Delagation Tips
Thanks for your response Daytonite. :) However, I have the basic principles of delegation down. This assigment is more for collecting real life advice or tips you've picked up along the way as you've gained experience with delegation.

How To Do Manage Full-time Work, Husband, Kids And School
One tip that has saved a lot of the moms in our class is utilizing the website http://www.menusformoms.com for meals. It gives you the weekly menu and grocery list, but you can always change it to suit your families needs. The meals are generally nutritious and easy to prepare. If I were you, I'd try it for a few weeks now and see if you like it so you can implement it when school starts. I have a household binder and the menu goes in the front of that. Then if I'm going to be home late, my husband can start dinner or even make it without me. I also utilize my son's nap time to study, and also try and get up an hour before him to study and also study for 1 hour after he goes to bed.

What's your best weight loss tip?
I seem to have gained 10 lbs since starting school in August and I'm not happy about it! I know part of it is that I haven't been able to fit in as much time as I like for exercise and I'm used to working on my feet at least half of the day and now I'm sitting in lecture or studying most of the time. ANY tips at all would be greatly appreciated!

I'm on the alternate list...
Good Luck! I was on the waitlist for this semster and got called the Friday before classes started. The funny thing is, I had finally got over it and was fine with not starting until fall. Now I'm doing great in all of my classes and so glad to be in!

Off topic: How do you keep house?
Although I can't say that my house is clean by any means, I've found a lot of tips on this website helpful! Hope it helps the rest of you too! http://www.flylady.net

What to do while on the waiting list?
Have you thought about splitting the classes you have left to take into 2 semesters to kill a little more time?

Ever taken Paxil?
I've been on Paxil for a little over a month for PP depression. I had to skip a dose Sunday night (bad, I know) but then I took it as normal last night. Today I am feeling incredibly nauseous and have a bad headache like I did when I first started taking it (it wore off in about 10 days). Is this normal if you miss a dose to have your original side effects?

Volunteer in ER
Hey everyone, thanks for the messages. Everything went well during my volunteer shift, somewhat busy but nothing traumatic. The biggest thing we had come in was a man who had cut three of his fingers off just above the knuckle. All the nurses were really helpful and I did whatever I could to help them and the patients out. It was a lot of fun and I'm glad I decided to volunteer!

Volunteer in ER
Actually, the hospital I'm volunteering at has a student loan program that accumulates no interest if paid back within 18 months of graduation and then starts at that point with interest the same as other student loans.

Volunteer in ER
Tonite is my first night volunteering in the ER. I'm a bit nervous since I'm not quite sure what to do. My main duties are to keep the ER and waiting room looking neat, run errands and general duties to help the staff, and greet and visit with patients. Any ER nurses have any advice on some of the more helpful things their volunteers have done or could do? Thanks!

Studying tips??
I make flashcards for everything I possibly can... then I can study anywhere and anytime, even if it's just a few minutes while waiting with my son at the doctor's office or in line at the grocery store. Don't know if you're married, but I also let my husband drive pretty much everywhere and then I can study in the car. Good luck finding what works best for you!!

Required and Optional textbooks
I buy books at http://www.amazon.com. Their prices are lower and some of my books qualified for the free shipping if you spend over $25 (which isn't hard to do with all the books we have to buy).
