Graduation Fundraising!

Hey all! I am graduating in Dec. 2004 and our class needs to supply our own money for our pinning ceremony and dinner, etc. We NEED to raise money now in the year cuz we do not have any for it come December! Any suggestions for a fundraiser or at least a way to recieve money for this?? Any thoughts would be fabulous...Thanks

We did several bake sales on our campus and always sold out quickly. People were always glad to see all the homemade goodies and would shell out bucks for it. You do need to have good advertisment for it and a good, well traveled place on campus to make the bucks! Good luck to you!!

We sold home interior candles. Made a bundle, too. YOu could also try asking some of the charitable organizations for donations for the nursing dept. and your graduation. We had a few orgs. that were willing to donate to us.

We sold Krispy Kreme donuts for $6 a dozen. The fundraiser was so successful that we're doing another one in a couple weeks.

We are in the midst of our fundraising efforts and decided to have a raffle. We had to have a state raffle license. We went to area businesses and asked for donations of prizes, gift certificates, services, etc. So far we have over $1000 worth of prizes. We are selling raffle tickets for $5.00 each. this has worked out just great. Although it took some time to put it together, if we sell all our tickets, we will have raised $2500 with one raffle, not bad...if it works, we won't have to do anything else.

Good luck with your efforts!!!

Mannn I could go for one of those right now :chuckle

Thanks for the ideas people! I will relay them to my classmates and hopefully we can get the ball rolling!

Maybe you could get together with a local Fire station, and do a car wash, maybe send some of the proceeds to the 9/11 victims. Whenever I've done fund raisers we've always cleaned up with car washes. Of course your class could always do it alone too, and keep all the money. Just thought it would be nice for the women drivers to get to see the firemen ;)

We just started our first fundraiser. We sold Sheetz coupons. They were 3.00 each and the buyer got a free 6 inch sub and drink as well as two .50 coupons. We have the chance to make 250.00 from the sell. We are also going to do home interior candles and a car wash later on in the spring.

We paid for our own at 25.00 a piece. That was 650.00. We got flowers at wholesale for 0.25 a piece, 18.oo. Catered from Grocery store for 200.00 cake, punch, and coffee. Gave instructors a dozen of the roses each in a vase from Wal-Mart for 3.00 a piece, 12.00. Made a lot of the things ourselves like the program, 16.00 for paper and 36.00 for ink. Candles for 16.00 from Wal-Mart the white tapered ones - one for each person. Had each person bring a disc for a candle holder. It was a very elegant program. Email me if you would like to know more. There was a lot of things and stuff at ours pining.
