Fall semester starting soon

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to say good luck to everyone this comming fall semester. I have been reading a lot of the posts about the different problems people are having, school related as well as personal. Well I have been having some of my own and am really looking foward to getting back in school again. I took the Summer off to prepare for an art show at the end of the year but as usual things have a way of changing on me. My wife and I had an opportunity to rent a bigger house(more room for the kids to run around in) from some friends for a cheap price. So as it turned out, I spent a lot of the past few weeks moving and cleaning instead of painting. It looks like it will be another semester of trying to cram for test while trying to paint like mad for the show comming up. But after having been out of school for a while, I'm all juiced up and am ready to hit the books again. Just wanted to say for everyone with problems, finacial, person, school related, doubts(if other people can do it we can as well, have enough confidence in yourself to say that) etc. Hang in there and don't lose your focus. Maybe someday when the schooling is done and were given hell by a patient, doctor, co-worker, etc. we could look back on these student struggles and "say I worked my butt off for all those years for this?" Just kidding, good luck everyone. B.T.H

That is so sweet. Many of us are having some problems whatever they may be, as well as doubts. Where there's a will there's a way and what don't kill us will make us stronger. I decided before I went to nursing school that no one will care about the problems I had while in school as far as late bills, dirty house etc. in 10 years so I will keep it up for my next two years and will be better and stronger because of it. Hang in there everyone.

BTW, which school are you going to in Denver, I am finishing here and planning to do RN- MSN at UCHSC.

Hi Iliel and Jen2,

Thank you and good luck to you both as well. I'm just trying to give back some pep and inspiration to others like I have recieved from others on here. Right now I'm at RRCC doing my pre-reqs, and am hoping to get into UCHSC for my BSN. After that I hope to go further, but first things first. In a perfect world.... I'm hoping to get hired on at University Hospital in the ICU unit as well as get the hospital to sponsor my MSN pursuits(CO doesn't have the program I want to study)after I graduate with my BSN because I would like to come back to CO after the MSN. Dream on huh(sigh....)anyway one step at a time, remember the journey is what makes us who we are, not the end(quoting my older brother here...he kept telling me this while I studied art under him for four years...still hasn't completely sunk in though), but am glad I finally got to meet someone in the nursing program from CO. Good luck B.T.H. I should be done with the CC prog in Vegas by 06...ugh, seems so far away, but I know it'll go so quick! We are already making plans to move to Denver! I'm excited and sad all at the same time to leave Vegas, but I can't do what I want here and Denver just seems like a wonderful city from what I hear.
