Did Your Clinical Interest Change?

I am in an accelerated program and I'm told we will be each be expected to run a project in a field of our choosing in which we hope to specialize. My question is, did any of you change your mind in where you wanted to go from before your clinicals started to the end? At this point I am certain but wondering if I'll have a rotation in an area and end up loving it.

When I 1st started in our program I thought for sure I would become an ER nurse. I also thought Med/Surg nursing was the easiest. Now everything has changed. I don't know what kind of nursing I want to practice and I have started a job as a nurse intern on our Med/Surg unit because of the many challenges it will present me!

I went into nursing school with this plan in mind: Mother/baby --> NICU.

Now, however, I'm about 80% that way and 20% Psych, and the pull is getting stronger every day. All I had to do was open my psych book and I was HOOKED.
