It depends on the school. I know the school I am going to in the fall specifically stated in their guide that credits older than 10 years would be reviewed on a case-by-case basis if you have not been working in the field you got the credits for (ie. if you're an accountant, your accounting credits would transfer).
Some it just depends on the grades you got in them. If you got an A in chem, they may accept that and not require you to take it again.
Good luck!
Call, write or e-mail all the schools you are interesting in. Get detailed info from the nursing division. Have your transcript reviewed and just wait and see. If one school will accept the credits and another won't and both accept you and they cost the same your decision of which school to attend will be easy.

I went to Kent State about 15 years ago. I took all of my English and math, and a lot of science. I dropped out, though. I was wondering, when I'm ready to go for my R.N. (currently enrolled at LPN school), will any of these classes transfer? I'm concerned because it has been such a long time. Does anyone have any idea? I'd really like to get my LPN, and while I'm working, go ahead and start my associate degree , possibly through a long distance program.
TIA
Lisa
