Has anyone seen this? A friend of mine is going to do it for her recertification, but I wasn't really sure about it. Figured I'd ask and see if anyone here has done it.

I would check with your school to be sure they accept cards from that organization.
As a CPR instructor I believe that the most important part of the CPR class is the hands-on skills practice. I think if it is your first BLS-PRO class you should go somewhere where you can practice the skills. Skills are mastered by practiing, not by reading how to do it.
Think of it this way....would you want a nurse to walk into your room and say that they are going to put in an IV...but dont worry they practiced it several times online.

I know there was a student at our school that tried to use this as her BLS certification, and it was not accepted.
Recertification is only a couple of nights, and makes all the difference.
I hope most colleges will take the same approach and not allow it. I certainly wouldn't want someone doing CPR on myself or my family that learned it online.

We HAVE to do the certification through the American Heart Association. It's not a big deal...takes about four hours and the guy to comes right to the school.
I'm not sure that on-line would be a great way to learn CPR either.
