Hello my fello savvy computer nursing students !
Does anyone do their index cards for example drugs or definitions on their computer? and just print them off?
Just curious if it takes a special kind of software.
Thanks ! mkue

oh, here's a site to make flashcards online. Probably not what you wanted, but thought you might like it. http://www.flashcardexchange.com/index.jsp

I do note cards, "bib cards" (short reports on nursing articles), textbook data, etc all on 5x8 note cards.
I have Word 98 I think, just open a blank word document,
go to file (upper left corner)
page set up
TAB margins - I set mine at 0.7 all around
TAB paper size - pick the size card you use & change the orientation to landscape.
Do a print preview before printing to figure out which way to feed your cards.
Good luck, this saves ME lots of time, especially if it's something that has to be turned in. When I write things my brain gets ahead of my hands and I end up erasing or starting over. I also add the new words to the spell check, that way next time I won't have to go back to check a spelling.
Thank you Teresa and Sandra !
Much appreciated !
