Here is a question that I am stumped on.......................
The practicle nursing student should walk slightly ahead and on the unaffected side of the client using a cane? is this true or false?

I believe it is false.
The student should support the affected side because that is the side that is weaker. The student should also be behind the patient, while holding the patient with a gait belt. The student should be behind because, if the patient were to fall, you could slowly use your body to lower the patient to the floor and then get help.
