Barron's "How to prepare for the Nursing entrance exam?"

For those of you that have this book, did it help you pass your entrance exam? What did you think of the book compared to the actual test?

Is there another book you would recommend besides this?

I am preparing for the "College Qualifications Test" LPN/ADN on April 5th.

Heard it's a b&*ch. Questions in verbal, reading comp, math/algebra, and general knowledge. Questions in electricity, U.S Presidents, sail boats, gasses & elements and odd subjects like that. :uhoh21:

Any info about your testing experience is appreciated!

I used that book, but I took the NET, only math and reading on it. and questoins about your learning type. I think the book was ok, but I also used the Plato program our school offered, and it was great. Good luck!

I just took the NLN's last week. I had a book to prepare for it. Wasn't worth a dime. So scared and didnt even get the results back yet! What are they thinking about when some of the questions end up on a nursing entrance exam? Ex: the author of this book???
