I am writing a paper on the effects of weight on pregnancy outcomes. The only thing i really know is with weight gain that it raises blood pressure. I also read that the likelyhood of your child becoming over weight later is higher, not sure how true that is, but i was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. Anything would be appriciated
Thanks

Yeah, I know all about it. It sucks to gain weight cause your old clothes dont fit and you feel like crap all the time. LOL! Seriously though, I still have 20 pounds to lose from my 3 year old and it gets me down sometime. I think that there is a good chance that it fuels any depression that one might have or develop.
ha ha i have never had a baby, im waiting till i get done with school but i sure do want one. My aunt just recently had a baby and she did everything right lol thats just her. She ate everything that she was supposed to and never really ate bad. The only thing that she experienced was water retention. Boy did she swell up, but right after the baby she was back to her tiny little self!

Don't quote me on this but I think if you have gestational diabetes, which may be caused by too much extra weight, your baby has a higher chance of developing diabetes and/or having problems with obesity herself.

Well weight gain itself is a risk factor for many things. Diabetes, CAD, hyperlipidemia, joint problems etc..
