Hi everyone!

I am new to this board, and new to nursing school. I start clinicals/classes for my LPN in the fall of 2003, and am working on my ADN classes for the next year (Micro, A&P, Bio, Human lifespan developement, History, Speech).

I am going from LPN to RN because the LPN classes are offered in the evening with clinicals on weekends, and at this point in my life I cant jump into the ADN classes that take place during the daytime (I am a 29 yr old SAHM mom to two cuties, ages 4.5 and 2.5).

When I am finished w/ the LPN I hope to almost have all my ADN classes completed, which will just leave me with clinicals for that. SHEW, overwhelming.

Anyway, has anyone taken the HOBET entrance exam? Just wondering how difficult it is and how much science is on it. Luckily I wont have to take the NET to get into the ADN program.

Anyone else get their RN this way? I feel like a dork or something.

Have a happy day!:)

I just started Nursing classes and our school had the new kids take the HOBET (guinea pigs) to see if they wanted to use it as an entrance exam. There were basic math, decimals, fractions, ratios & proportion problems and reading comprehension. The rest of the test was about learning habits, skills etc...opinion type questions. Good luck!:nurse:
