Count me in. What program are you enrolled in? I will be starting at Deaconess College of Nursing in January.

Hi,

I'm interested!!:)

I am enrolled with Excelsior and just getting ready to schedule my first exam with them...........kind of nervous but???

The hardest part so far is trying to get/stay motivated, so hopefully with the support of others that will happen. I look forward to talking with you and others.

Yes, I'm just starting the Excelsior Program, and I think that would be a great idea. I'm relatively new to the chat board thing too, so when you start it will you e-mail us or how does that work? kavi

Jude,

Did youjust complete Nur 1?

If so how was it? I have just begun with the reading.

So far, not much new and I'm glad cause I'm a bit brain fried at the moment.

How long did you prepare for this class?

Did you buy all the suggested text books?

I know, questions, questions but I have always found information from those in the thick of things to be pretty helpful.

Thanks for any input.

Hello, I am doing the Excelsior program, too.... just took my first course test in Life Span Developmental Psych. I felt like I was kinda out there on my own, too. One drawback to unstructured classes, but the advisors seem pretty helpful. Let me know if you start any kind of chat, I would be happy to join in!

Hi,

I am doing the nursing science core requirements first. I have been studying for 584pathophisiology and 506a&p. After that, I am planning on taking 558microbiology. I still haven't signed up for any of the exams yet. I feel that I have studied enough for the a&p, so I will schedule that one first.

Do you get to find out right away if you passed or not? If so, how do they grade it, is it pass/fail or is there a grade given?

I am going to be online tomorrow evening(9pm eastern), so if you are around maybe we can chat? I look forward to hearing how others are doing with Excelsior.

Hello C,

I am taking the nursing sciences right now. I'm not taking any concepts yet, as one of the advisors told me that from the LPN program they will take one of the concepts courses and I'll get credit for it. So, basically I am just beginning,lol.........I am taking a&p and pathophisiology first. I did buy the text books and the workbook, but I have talked with others who get the study guide and use their own books or go to library etc........I'm going to see how this goes and then I'll figure out what books I really need.

I have tons of questions too, and I'm glad that I found this site as it's been so helpful. Hope to talk with ya sometime soon. I will be online tomorrow night around 9pm eastern, maybe we can chat?

Take Care,

JUDE
