Has anyone gone the ADN-BSN route with a previous bachelors degree? Did having the first bachelors degree cut the BSN part shorter? How long did it take to do each part?

The only way I could imagine that it would be shorter is that you would probably have a good many (if not most) of the "general education" or "core" type credits needed by that university.

That's what I'm working on right now, in my 3rd year getting my BA. I've dabbled a lot in many subjects, so I have a good amount of the core requirements down. Next semester I'm taking 2 Spanish classes I need for my degree as well as anatomy with lab and psychology. In the spring I'll maybe take Micro and bio lab or something. My goal is to have as many general requirements down as possible in my undergrad (whily my grandpa is still helping with tuition), and then when I actually apply to nursing school, I'll only need to do the nursing courses, which should cut down on my courseload and required time. :)

I am considering this option LPN-ADN-BSN. I am only persuing this route, b/c I want to start working right away. I don't want to continue at my current job for another year while I am still taking nursing classes. I figure If I do the LPN in 10 months, then the access to nursing bridge course for RN which is an additonal two semesters if you have your LPN through tri-c and Meridia Huron. I think this time frame will measure out to the same as if I waited for the ADN the only difference is that I will be working as an LPN while taking courses. I learn better when I am working in the area I'm studying. As for the BSN, I may consider taking it online. I think I might get burned out with going to class after all that. I will have to find an accerlated online BSN program. My undergrad is in Computer Science.
