    My favorite shift for cardiac and med-surg was weekend nights. Couldn't stand days--way too chaotic with all the residents and suits around.

    humm, having worked as a nursing assistant, and now as an lpn on all shifts and i am prayful for rn after two semester , all shifts are busy if you believe in doing "your" job and those duties that may not be written directly in "your" job description, [not out of your scope of practice]. if you assist others when you are "caught" up, etc. no matter the shift and or position, one is usually busy.
