My son, who is 26, called me a few minutes ago to tell me that he went to an optometrist today because the vision in his left eye has been worsening. This Dr. took one look at him and made an appointment with an opthamologist for tomorrow morning. As soon as I hung up, I went online and found the National Muscular Sclerosis website...which stated that 50-60% of individuals diagnosed with Optic Neuritis go on to develop M.S. during the next 5-10 years.

I am so frightened. Please keep us in your prayers.

Very sorry, CsrMgr1.

Saying a prayer now.

You are in my prayers. Keep us posted on how your son is doing.

I have been in the same shoes that you are in now. I know how frightening and scary it is. Still do the rollar coaster ride, as my son calls it, at times. My son who has MS was diagnosed with optic neuritis at the age of 23. He is now 32.

Will keep my fingers crossedand hope for the best for you and your son.

Saying a prayer for both of you.

I am also saying a prayer for all of you
