Hello Everyone!

I am a single parent in Nursing School.Currently, I am working in a 7on/7off positon as a nursing assisstant on the 11-7 shift.Although I am maintaining a 4.0 G.P.A., I have decided to work in a flex position(due to my school load) which will allow me more flexibilty with school and my child but I will loose insurance. I would like to know what others are doing in a situation like mine??? Did anyone go through the same thing? What did some of you do for extra money while in school? Did any of you have of you have to drop insurance and maybe pick up a state insurance program? All positive comments would be appreciated greatly!!!!

I had to drop to part-time. My employer was nice enough to maintain my insurance. I had to get coverage for my son through the State program. Had my ins. not been maintained my plan was to get antemp policy covering emergencies and major things, and just forgo preventive care ( which I don't have time for anyway!)

Thanks Kimtab. It's encouraging to know that I am not the only one going through something like this!

Kimtab, that sounds like a good option. Wish I had thought of that when I was in school.
