Sabbatage

Has anyone ever felt an aide or other unlicensed assistive personnel were trying to sabbatage your career and put your license on the line?

I've had to deal with aides that don't want to do what you ask them to do, and others that think that they know everything. The other day an aide tried to give a patient some Tylenol that the family member had given her. She didn't bother to ask me if it were ok. She had to the nerve to yell at me when I was trying to help out a confused patient. I wasn't doing it her way. Boy was I hot. The next time that she does something like that, she's going to get told what and why for in addition to being written up.

Sorry about the last posting, I've never done this before but I did want to reply to the person that wrote sabbotage. I was so happy when I saw it because an aide just tried to do it to me. My manager was on my side but, I felt so embarrassed and was so angry. I used to joke with this woman but not anymore. I think I need to adopt a whole new way of dealing with the aides.

To Paplitations: Don't wait, report this NA now! She is practicing nursing and dispensing medicine without a licence! Against the law. Don't wait for her to give the patient something more than Tylenol. When the patient crashes they will want to know where YOU were!
