I'm going to be starting the red cross cna program, and i was just wondering how it is? and i'm terrified of clinicals at the end of it can someone tell me about how that goes? Thanks! Xoxo

I think everyone is nervous/scared about the unknown of a clinical test. I took mine in June for the Red Cross CNA in California. I passed and I believe it is not hard. You just have to remember to say out loud the procedures along with the proper steps you should be taking when doing a procedure. As long as you follow the book and be vocal during the test about what you are doing and if you forget a step be sure to say "I should have done this before" or something to that nature so the testers know, you know what you are doing. They all expect the nervousness. Good Luck. Study hard and you should be fine!

I did my CNA program at a Red Cross in MN. It was great.

I was also very nervous about clinical, but we had great instructors and it went fine. We did three days of clinical at a Nursing home in Minneapolis. We had three students per resident and we took care of PM cares and feeding. We were given a lot of guidance. I'm surprised our resident did not get seasick from us three inexperienced goons turning him back and forth to change his briefs, but we all got through it and he received better care than he normally would.

You'll be fine; try to remember to enjoy it.
