quitting is hard

I quit smoking cold turkey Dec 19 not even one puff since then. My boyfriend has never been a smoker; its hard for him to understand how hard it was. i'm so proud of myself though i haven't even gained any weight yet; ever time i get the craving i get up and do jumping jacks or something; i also chewed on straws. I find that i have so much more energy since i quit; maybe just because i try to find things to keep my mind off that cigarete; I know it will be a battle for the rest of my life but i know i can do it; I would recomend it to anyone; because once you get past the first few days it gets better; think of it like this; if you get passed a few days do you ever want to have to go thru that pain again. If i can do it you can do it

JennyPooz, Take it one day at a time. One foot in front of the other....anything and everything that keeps you going.

Bless you for looking out for YOU!

Good advice, I've been nicotine free for 10 years now, still get the urge once in awhile but remind myself of two things. Like you, do I want to go through the pain again and do I really want to put that poison in my body?
