Nursing salary & COL

Nurses General Nursing

Hi, this may ruffle some feathers, but curious on nursing salary in your State and is it decent living with average COL.

Liveable wage in my State is $20 with some change

an hour.

You can find decent paying jobs in the healthcare field, but your COL is high. Additionally, you have to deal with congested roadways and snow (Once a nurse have the license can find less congested less cold snowy place to live ha!)

Techs outside of the hospitals where I live make $10-$15 an hour. Inside a hospital techs can make $15-$22 an hour. LPNs make $20-$28 an hour. Nurse's outside of the Hospital where I live make $25 to $30 an hour to start. Nurse's in the hospital start around $28 to $32 an hour. They usually cap out at $45 to $50 an hour.

As a tech with my differential I am making $23 an hour.

What State do you feel nurses can live decent have enough money to save and not have a difficult time due to high COL?

Appreciate the feedback.
