Nursing in NY with an RN diploma

I am set to graduate a diploma program this coming June in the state of PA. I am from NY and will be relocating back home after I graduate. I am very concerned that I will not be able to get hired with a diploma as I have been doing research on jobs and so far they require a ASN or BSN. I will be taking my NCLEX in July and have an online school picked out to immediately start my RN to BSN. I am wondering if anyone has any answers or advice for me on how to go about getting my first job as an RN in the state of NY with a diploma.
