i have a texas license, but i just moved to al and i won't be here for very long. if i get endorsed by al will my texas license still be active? :nuke: any info would be great!

Yes, your Texas license will still be active but will no longer be a multi-state license i.e it will be active for Texas only. You must live in a compact state for your license to remain multi-state.

Many people mistakenly think that endorsement means they are "transferring" their license to a new state. Not so. Endorsement means you are obtaining an additional license. Your original license will remain active, as long as you maintain it, by keeping up with CEU and practice requirements and renewing on time.

If you ever decide that you no longer want to keep a license active (due to not practicing in that state) it is best to inform the BON that you wish to place your license on "inactive" status. Simply allowing a license to lapse can be a costly mistake if you ever need to reinstate it in the future.
