So, nurses in Finland can write medical prescriptions in the near future? Is that an advanced practice nurse, like a nurse practitioner or would it be all regular entry level nurses? :p

After getting the degree of nursing school doesent give you the privilege to write prescription right away, this is after a short course. Is this right? Wh takes the blame if something happends to the patient? Nurses in health centers or public health care will get this permisiion. I dont think it will be possible in advanced nursing

Advanced practice nurses in the US have a long history of providing safe, competent care to people, including diagnosing and treating disorders, and prescribing medication. This role hasn't been used in many other countries, but it's a safe, cost-effective way of providing healthcare, and clients tend to be v. pleased with their nurse practitioners, midwives, anesthetists, and CNSs. These nurses have a graduate degree and have passed an additional certification exam.

I was not able to figure out, from the translated passage provided, whether this is what is being talked about in the OP (or, really, what's being talked about in that passage ... :))
