I am looking into buying a laptop computer. Need some advice from those who have them. What do I need to look for and what kind of machine do you use and why. What have you had problems with. What do you recommend to buy and to stay away from. Have about a 1000.00 for puter.

Thanks

I have had two Dell desktops and now we have a Dell notebook - my family swears by Dell and they have such wonderful customer service and support if you need it...my friend bought an HP laptop and he needed a new cord for it because they sent the wrong one and it took them forever and they just argued with him about it - :uhoh3: he was pretty disappointed with that.....

Thanks for the input. I am giving my desk top to my daughters and need something that I can surf the web, play a couple of games on, and do care plans/nonsense on. I really think that asking those that use them is the best way to go. If yall have anymore to add I would be grateful. What about accessories and the such? Insurance for them?

I have an HP Pavilion ze1210 that I bought in Sept 02 for going to school. I'm doing a BSN/MSN online through University of Phoenix and have trotted quite far with the computer - to Hawaii, Florida, the Bahamas and in July to St. Thomas. It works great - have had no problems.
