I have a dark cystic pimple near my eye... what to do?

I've had this pimple right hear my eye/on the side of my upper nose for almost 2 weeks. It turned into a cystic pimple. I'm currently on doxycycline and dapsone for the last few months. I'm really worried about it because it feels like it's about to pop soon and it's close to my eye. It's discolored to this brown color and looks like a little leech on the side of my nose. I went to the walk in clinic and the physician just referred me to a cosmetologist. My mom is a nurse and just ruled it as a cystic pimple and applied topical clindamyacin. She disregarded the physician's orders because apparently all the nurses have worked with him and said he wasn't a good doctor (that and they don't take him seriously). When I did meet with him, he kept making jokes (calling me "bumpy) and said he didn't know what to do. He said it wasn't infected but just an underlying problem that's vascular. I'm worried bc if this thing pops, there's the meningitis possibility. I don't even know if I should trust me mom, even if she is a nurse because there's that biased opinion she has about the doctor and she's someone who overlooks things and things shouldn't be a "big deal". (She gave me crap for going to the walk in clinic for even having this seen). I made an appointment with the cosmetologist for monday morning (that's the soonest) and if it gets worse, I should go to the ER this weekend. I called my dermatologist and they don't have any openings until 3 weeks. The rest of my face seems to be okay; it's just a really dark cystic pimple near my eye... maybe I'm freaking out over nothing...

Well, we can't really give medical advice. Did you try your plain old family practitioner, or internist or whomever you see on a more general basis? Take care, and I hope it resolves without giving you more worry.
