I have a job interview tomorrow....

I haven't worked in 9 years, and I haven't had an interview in 13!!! I did, however, take a RN Refresher course last semester, and I did 3 shifts a week for a couple of months at a different hospital in addition to the "bookwork". The position I am interviewing for is a full time 12 hour night spot at a large hospital on the postpartum unit (I worked postpartum when I was working 9 years ago). Any suggestions for me?? I have no idea of what questions they may ask or anything.

Thanks!

I interviewed for positions last September. Before going in I googled something like "common interview questions," picked out what I thought i could get asked and prepared & practiced answers for them. I did really well. And I would say they asked me very few questions I hadn't already anticipated & prepped for... like less than 10%. Try it.

What do you know about us, why do you want this job, what are your strengths/weaknesses, tell me something you liked/didn't like about your previous position, tell me about yourself, what are your long/short term goals, how do you define customer service, tell me about a difficult situation with a co-worker and/or supervisor and what you did to handle it... those are common ones.

Good luck.

Good luck with your interview... Dress the part.. Show up on time..

present a firm handshake. look the interviewer in the eye.. Smile..

Appear confident... And all of the above poster, (practice your answers). Your personallity will win them over.. and you will get the job.. again good luck to You!!! keep us posted:nurse::redbeathe:nurse:
