hi....
iam so scared right now...i took my nclex exam last tuesday 3-17-09..it was soo hard! i had a lot of priority questions and medications..if i were to judge my test i gues for some it would be easy but i was struggling with it. im scared to admit that i think im gonna fail bt like they said think positive:heartbeat..I answered all 265 qxns!!! was are my chances of passing? how long does it take to receive the results since my bon (california) does not participate in the quick results?
and also i hav a ssn and a few friends told me that if u hav a ssn u can check if u passed in the license verification of the ca bon. its been 6 days since i took the test and my name is not there...does that mean i failed?
HELP!!! im going out of my mind!

When I took my test, I logged onto the nclex website after two days and had the results. There was a credit card charge (I forget the amount).
I hope all goes well.

You can also check your state board of nursing's website to see if you passed. I found out 19 hours after I took my NCLEX by going to Oregon State Board of Nursing's license verification system...saw my RN license right there :)

Thats what i wanna know too. If u don't see ur name on the BON site does that mean that u didn't pass or does it just mena that they haven't had a chance to update their site as yet?
answers anyone!
It could mean one of two things...yes, you might not have passed, as this happened to one of my classmates. The other thing is that if your birthday conflicts with your state's renewing policy, you might not have it yet. Two of my classmates did not get their licenses given to them until a certain period of time has elapsed so they would not have to renew their RN license less than a year later. Be patient, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I know it's hard to wait but it's good practice.
Perhaps it will help you empathize with patients who have to wait weeks to get tests performed and interpreted.
Try to relax and stop thinking about it. I know it's hard - trust me, I do - but you can do it. You, of course, know that fretting isn't going to change the result; all it does is put unnecessary stress on your body.
Try to relax and let the process run its course. You'll know in due time.

When i took my exam it stopped at 75 question and I just knew that I failed. I sat at the computer and began sobbing the the lady had to come and remove me from the computer. I t turned out that i passed. But I had a friend that just knew that she passed, but she failed, so maybe you did better then you thought. GOOD LUCK

My exam cut off at the minimum 85 questions and I freaked. Thought I bombed it. GA does participate in the quick results and I found out online I passed. They tell you it takes up to 4 weeks to receive results in the mail, but within 2 weeks of taking my exam I received my results and my license together on the same day. I'm sure you did well, as most people who think they failed something usually did better than they thought...lol. You'll probably get some sort of notification by mail. If too much time goes by (say 2 months or so) and you don't hear anything, I would try contacting your BON. Good luck and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!
