How many seizure problems have you seen from PCA Demeral?

Meperidine is BAD stuff in a PCA. And NEVER should be used in the continuous mode. Lots of seizures and stuff.

We used the large Abbott PCA pump. Our pharmacy had to make up the 30cc syringes with Dilaudid because we either couldn't get them or something, I have forgotten. We used the "other" setting. I think it was 0.5mg to the cc.

It was used mainly for the SSA patients, and they really didn't like it. NO buzz they said.
