Grad party idea for my wife

Nurses General Nursing

Hi Nurses hope you all might be able to help me out with this... I'm throwing my wife a graduation party in a couple weeks for graduating from nursing school and am doing some crazy things for serving the food... One of them is to have punch served from an IV bag - at least a look-alike IV bag. Considering I probably won't be able to get my hands on actual IV bags I think I'll need to rig up something with Ziploc bags and a long tube or something like that. Any ideas or pointers that might help??

Thanks!!

Nate

How about cocktail sausages served in brown gravy ? The "Code Brown Challenge" :D:lol2::chuckle

I did the syringe jello shots, I made up Hazardous Waste buckets for a game, I got these darts from a dollar store and made up a dart board showing a MD's BUTT, and made a pinata out of my old ATI books that we beat to all heck.. I ordered some blood bag candy bags (can't remember where now) that I put in party favor bags along with medication looking candy and chocolate bandaids.. Man hard to believe that was almost a year ago.. time flies.. Kudos to you though on throwing her a party!

How about taking her to dinner, telling her how proud you are of her, that all her stress and no sleep was for a good reason, and that you've never been more proud of her as you are now. Taking her home and dress up like a nurse and take care of her- as she will be doing for others. Sometimes simplicity is key. If this doesn't work then I vote for a cake shaped like the MAR book.

New, clean, washed-out urinals make great beer-drinking aids! (plus the resulting pictures are... interesting)

You all are awesome!!! thank you for the great suggestions!! I'll definitely have to write back to let you know how it goes :) Gonna try a few things from the list...

You are AWESOME for setting this up! I'm not sure how easy it would be for you to get a hold of them, but urine specimen cups actually make very sturdy drinking cups/shot glasses. I swiped one from work (new and sterile, of course!) to use for salad dressing and dips when I pack my lunch. Penlights make nice party favors because people are always losing them, and there are these great pens that look like syringes that my friends have enjoyed when I've given them as little gifts.
