Daughter had urticaria, Quincke edema etc.

Hi,

I am worried sick about my daughter. She is almost 15 and last sunday she got an urticaria (you call it hives too, I think), we don't know why. gave here a Rhinopront (like Benadryl) and on monday we went to the allergy-centre to have her tested.

She had a spell like this in octobre, we figured out at that time that it must had been a grapefruit. She didn't eat one, or other citrusfruit now though.

Anyway, the skin was ok again on monday, but then her eyes swelled like crazy, she (said so herself, under hysterical, but logical, crying) looked like an alien.

Went to the doc again, gave her a Zyrtec and Calcium and took some bloodtests. Then her lymfnodes started swelling in her neck, they hurt and are quiet big.

Today her eyes are almost normal, her nodes are still swollen and hurting, but her bloodtest came back and I don't like it one bit!

Her CRP is up, leucos are high, but not all of them, especially the lymfocytes. And her thrombos are down. Red bloodcount is ok.

As are the kidney-, liver- and other enzymes.

Doctor says this is normal, but I am not sure what to do!!

OK, I am hysterical too, especially, since a good friend of us, just had her son diagnozed with Lymphoma.

One part of me says, hey Renee, cool down, you know too much, the other part screams: ALARM!

We are leaving on saturday for our anual skivacation and my daughter is soooooo looking forward to it.....................

What to do? Please, my friend and collegues tell me something, you know better the I!!!

OK, she just came in and showed me her wisdom teeth breaking through her maxilla! her gum is red, swollen etc.!

OK, I am a bit relieved now!
