Clep Tests

Published

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever taken Clep tests? I'm suppose to go Mon. to take English Comp. I clep test. I've heard it wasn't very difficult, and expressed my confidence to the guy on the phone with whom I made the appt. He said "that's what the last girl said - she failed". That worried me. Have any of you ever taken the English Clep or any other clep tests? Just curious...

Thank you :)

I clepped (spelling?) out of sociology. I studied the clep book for it for a week or so, and did very well on the test. Like the others said, it did not affect my GPA; just gave me the credit hours. Good luck! I'm sure you'll do fine!:)

I "Clep"ped out 96 hours toward my Bachelor's Degree. That included a bunch of the "Nursing Science" courses. If you have the knowledge, I see no reason to have to sit through a class, not if you can pass the CLEP tests. Especially if your college takes CLEP credits. Go for it.

I took the English Comp II Clep a few years ago and it was awful. Turned out to be all poetry interpretation!! Passed it but by the skin of my teeth. Luckily it didn't count towards my GPA. Just be aware that the English Comp I and English Comp II in NJ are very different tests.

Poetry interpretation  Thank God I'm not in NJ!! I'm gonna get a clep book and see what else I can clep out on :D

And insult to injury I was in a room with young teens of spanish descent Clepping Spanish. They were done in about 15 minutes and an hour later I was still sitting there racking my brain..

I CLEPed College COmp I&II. Piece of cake. I didn't use a study guide for it.

Other subjects I might have. I don't remember anything about poetry in it. It was just a lot of fluff as far as I was concerned.
