Children's Medical Center In Dallas Texas General Info

I am an experienced RN who is looking to move to Dallas to work for children's. I am wondering if anyone who works there currently could give me some advice for my interview. Also what kind of scrubs do they wear? Is there a color specifically that they have to wear? Or are they like most pediatric hospitals and allow you to wear whatever scrubs you choose.

I am interviewing for the pediatric hematology/oncology inpatient unit and would love any tips on how to do well with my interview. I've heard nothing but good things about this hospital and would love a chance to work there.

lastly, if anyone has any suggestions as to what neighborhoods I should look into for an apartment that would be greatly appreciated. It's hard to tell what neighborhoods are rough from apartments.com and while I am very used to bad traffic (I live in Atlanta Georgia right now and and very much used to bad traffic) I would still very much appreciate knowing ahead of time what is a better neighborhood to live in to commute to children's from.

I cannot offer firsthand advice on the hospital since I've never worked there.

Safe suburbs within commuting distance of the hospital include Richardson, Carrollton, Farmer's Branch, Plano, Frisco, Allen, etc. Plano and Frisco are experiencing rapid growth, so I expect these two suburbs to be pricier than the rest I've mentioned.

If you are wanting to stay in Dallas, relatively close to the hospital district, you might check out The Village area. A lot of nurses live there, or at least it used to be where a lot of young medical personnel lived.
