It sound similar to somthing I got as a kid. The spots are kind-of light brownish, slightly raised. Starts in a small area, then spreads - no itching or pain. The first year it happened, we went to a dermatologist. He said that it was a mild fungal infection - related to candida. It hits when the skin is moister than usual - or if the skin ph is off. I notice that it will affect me if I eat a lot of sugar. It's like a little yeast infection on the skin. Easy enough to clear up, too.
Check with your doctor or NP to be sure, though.

Last summer at the lake my son got an area about the size of a quarter on his thigh that was a little red and had raised spots in it. It got larger and turned lighter in the center, so I started wondering if this was the infamous bull's-eye rash. When I took him to the doctor, he said it was folliculitis--an inflammation of the hair follicles and gave us some elidel (I think it was) to put on it. That cleared it up pretty quickly--or else it cleared up coincidentally.

My daughter returned home from camp with a small rash on her stomach & back. Both spots are about the size of a half-dollar, but she says that neither of the spots itch. She hasn't had any symptoms from them, but they won't go away. Any suggestions on what this could be?
