Calling all OR nurses / advice with senior concept analysis paper!

HELP!

I'm graduating in a few weeks, and am having a terrible case of writers block for my senior paper. As in, I've been researching for 4 days and can't find a specific direction to go in. Nada.

We were assigned a concept analysis paper in which we pick a concept (i have chosen Communication) and we related it to the following student outcomes:

Human Flourishing (how it affects patient, family, community)

Nursing Judgment (EBP, safe care, quality care, health promotion)

Professional Identity (integrity, responsibility, prof growth, ethical practices)

Spirit of Inquiry (strength and weaknesses of current practices, suggestions for improvements)

I realize there is plenty of info on communication, however, a definitive direction on this paper is whats killing me. We are able to pick a specific area of nursing to do this in, so I chose Surgical Nursing/OR having just completed a preceptorship in the OR.

I have a few ideas regarding Nursing Judgement and safety (timeouts, patient identification, site marking, etc). Or quality care(lack of communication and medication errors). But for the most part, thats all i have.

Any and all input would be TREMENDOUSLY appreciated to help get me on a roll.
