i belive it's time for all nurses to stand together. it is the only way our situation will be seen for what it is.very few nurses are lucky enough to be union. when they do strike it's for a good reason.to run in there and work as agency or travel nurse seems crazy to me.first,if the corporation has the budget to pay the big bucks for them, why can't it meet the demands of the current staff? it can...it's just they greed game in play.second,if you even remotely care about the current decline in the nursing field it is foolish to go against those who are making a stand against conditions.i don't buy they justifcations used like ...someone has to care for the patients...this usually is code language for i can make a ton of money and pretend like i don't see these fellow nurses who are striking.third, if there is such a nursing shortage, can't you find someplace else to go? there are thousands of posts with nurses protesting some condition. it is just insane to go in and take the cash when the root problems are not being addressed.this a moral issue. by giving the coporation the easy out , in the long run you are doing the patients the diservice of continued poor and declining care. feedback anyone?

If I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times...a good place to start is this link for the email addresses of all elected officials but, you have got to write them!

It's all about patient care, and strike or no strike, there are patients in the hospital that need to be cared for.
