I am beyond frustrated with myself :( I was working as a foot care nurse for a home health agency that I was just hired for last month.I worked casually,no weekends or holidays, and I picked how many days and shifts I wanted to work a month.Right before Christmas I found that I failed my Advanced Foot Care course by 1%.I have returned all of my equipment and am not doing foot care anymore. The agency met with me and wants me to now do visiting shifts instead.I would have to have more training and would now have to go to a part time position meaning I would have to work 2 shifts a week plus a weekend that they would pick for me.It would work out and all but I work full time nights which is roughly 3-4 shifts a week.I am at a loss as what to do.Should I take the part time position and work visiting nursing until I can take the course again?Or just forget it considering I already work full time nights.I meet with them tomorrow to tell them my answer and I don't know what to tell them :(

If I understood you correctly you have two jobs. One is FT and one is prn. Right? I would drop the prn till you retake the course. If they do not have a position for you at that time then go elsewhere. Otherwise you will be SO stressed trying to make it all work. If you have a partner I would get input from that person as your schedule affects their life too. Good luck!

Do you need the money from the PRN job to pay bills? If not, I'd just take a break from that until you can pass it again, possibly. If you do...well, it's better than nothing, maybe.

I don't need it to pay bills I jut was working the job to get the foot care experience since I could schedule when I wanted to work so it worked perfectly with my other job.Since my husband is out of work my full time more then pays the bills, it gives us much money left over to save and put in the bank.I am at a loss since working visiting would give me a lot of hands on experience, but I am not a robot and can't work days on end.It would be nice for extra money but I can't do everything.

. . . It would be nice for extra money but I can't do everything.

Looks like you answered your own question :) Sorry about the exam, but it sounds like you had a lot on your plate anyway, maybe lose the PRN, just work the full-time, and concentrate on your class/classes.
